Figuring It Out

I've been trying to figure this blogging thing out some more. This whole world is rather new to me. I do not have a following, or even people that I know of anyway, who read these words regularly. I am not, by any means http://www.mycharmingkids.net/ And that is perfectly fine.

Again, this is for me, not anyone else. At least right now, that is how it is. I would like to do some stuff with my blog and learn some simple new things, such as how to put links in that are WORDS and not actual addresses until you click on the word.

I read a lot of blogs. Mostly ones that I stumble upon through links and happenstance. I see all these cool links, pictures, and tools for blogs that I have found are not so easy to figure out. Is there a do this, do that to your blog 101 class that I'm just not aware of? If so, I would really like to find it.

Sometimes nothing makes sense. Have you ever had one of those days? The kind of days where you're exhausted, but have done nothing. Are not feeling yourself, but can't put a finger on why you are feel this way? Where you aren't sad or depressed, but are not really happy, or even content either? Yes, it has been an ordinary-not-so-extraordinary day.

I just feel out of sorts today. Discontent, like I'm missing something, but I don't know what. It's as if my world is about to change or has already changed and I don't know it yet.

  1. Sure I think I know how you feel. There is so much I need to learn on this blog stuff. I don't know how to make the links either. I am still learning the ropes. You have music, I haven't figured that one out yet. And I am reading My Charming Kids everyday and boy that woman has talent on top of some adorable kids!
I only had a few readers six weeks ago and then I got tagged and everything has taken off from there. I am now so pleased to have 11/20 comments on any given day. Then you see MckMomma with 638 comments. I don't want to be that busy, I am busy enough reading the hundred and something people I follow now. It like going to church. I love the little church I belong to with only 150 people. I cannot keep reading all of these people. I can sit here at my computer for six hours reading. Then on top of that I can go on and on like I am now when I am commenting so there goes my day. It is hard to weed out and then it seems like each day I find new people to follow.

  2. Hey Shannon, nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by and joining up with our story...it's a lot of fun this bloggy thing! I have a tip on how to link...when posting, highlight any word you would like to link (by left clicking over it) then on top of the post page you have the font, font size, bold, italic, color and link...click link. Then enter in the web address there, enter and voila! Hit preview to check it out! You will not see the addrress! Hope this is clear to you. Have fun with it!

  4. Hello there! The most important thing is that you blog for you. Don't compare your blog to others. I always used to think mine was inferior to those I paged through. But I have my own story to tell.
